I'm Michael Carter, the publisher of Find Alabama Plumbers. I built this directory to help Alabama homeowners find and compare local plumbing companies without digging through dozens of websites. My approach is simple: keep the information useful, clear, and easy to check. Every listing starts with publicly available business information. I look for active plumbing companies with genuine customer reviews and a clear connection to the trade. Basic listings are free. Paid placements are clearly labeled. No company can buy a better review or ranking. If you spot outdated information or something that doesn't look right, email me. I'll review it and make corrections by hand.
Why this directory exists
I built Find Alabama Plumbers because finding a plumber in this state should not take twenty browser tabs. The information a homeowner needs exists, but it is scattered across maps, review sites and half-finished websites, and none of it tells you who actually does the work in your town.
So this directory puts the whole trade in one place, city by city. Every listing starts from public business records, and the services you see marked on a listing come from the business itself, not from a guess. When the public record does not answer a question, the listing says not enough info instead of filling the gap. That standard matters to me: a directory you cannot check is just another advertisement.
Basic listings are free and stay free. Paid placements are labeled wherever they appear, and no company can buy a better rating or ranking. If you spot something that looks wrong, email me directly; corrections are made by hand, and the directory is rebuilt with the change.
How listings are vetted
Every listing starts from public business records and Google Maps. We keep businesses that are open, have customer reviews, and do plumbing work as their main trade. Duplicates are merged, and permanently closed businesses are dropped.
Where a business's own website or public profile states what it does, that detail is recorded on its listing: the services it offers, its service area, its hours and its phone number. When the public sources do not answer a question, the listing says not enough info rather than guessing.
Right now that is 551 plumbers in 69 Alabama cities, last refreshed 2026-10-19.
Owners can claim their listing for free. Every claim is checked by a person: a real local business, a matching email domain or a call to the number on the Google listing. Paid placements are marked as featured, premium or best-of wherever they appear.
Corrections and removals
If a listing is wrong, or you want your business removed, tell us. We answer within a week and rebuild the directory with the change.
